This may Be the Best Episode Yet of “The Real Man Show.”…

Of course, I might be a little biased there.

Check out how we display some sick skills at distance thanks to the coaching and instruction of ex Seal Sniper and Shark Tank-Famous "Bottle Breacher" Corporation founder Elijah Crane.
I've been a rifle hunter for over three decades and have written about them for almost two. I learned and improved my shooting more in those two hours with two hours spent on the range with a Seal Sniper than I have in the last few years.

Thanks to Kyle Reyes for the invite and for being someone we could all make fun of for the day, Mike Monaco for the cool .50 caliber rifle, rifle rest (yes- I meant to say it like that - that's the only way we could utilize the .50 at the range we were on), and client Brady Speth and his AWESOME Riton Optics to add to the fun.

It's rare to have this much, ahem, "talent" in the same place at the same time!

Thanks, The Silent Partner Marketing, Monaco Ford, Bottle Breacher and Riton Optics for a great day!

DICK'S Expelled from NSSF, Continues to make Anti-Gun Decisions and Policies...

The National Shooting Sports Foundation has expelled Dick's Sporting Goods
Dick's sporting goods goes farther toward being "anti-gun," is expelled from the NSSF

One has to wonder what is on the mind of Dick's executives and officers.
At a time when they are experiencing lower share prices, lower sales, and a trying economy for "Brick-And-Mortar" businesses in the retail space.

Now, their actions have drawn the ire of the National Shooting Sports Foundation- the main trade organization for the firearms business.

What Dick's seems to be forgetting is that MANY of their patrons that own and buy guns also buy sporting equipment, shoes, apparel, fishing gear and other products that they sell.

Below is a quote from a recent NRA/ILA Bulletin.

"This industry pressure on Dick’s comes at a sensitive time for the company. Its shares took a steep 6.3% dive in March, amid what analysts described as a “downbeat outlook.” Indeed, its own CEO Edward Stack admitted his new investment in gun control “is not going to be positive from a traffic standpoint and a sales standpoint.”

How that assessment squares with his own obligations to the company and its shareholders is unclear. Profits, after all, are where the rubber meets the road in any business enterprise.

What is becoming increasingly clear, however, is that Dick’s has inserted itself into a tight spot from which it might not emerge unscathed, if it manages to survive at all. Its business with Second Amendment supporters in particular may well grind to a halt.

Should that happen, Dick’s will have no one to blame but itself, and especially Mr. Stack. Dick’s example should serve as a warning for other businesses in the firearm sector that would hope to find common cause with activists who are seeking nothing so much as to put gun sellers out of business for good."

Not all gun owners are NRA members, but most gun owners believe in the right to keep and bear arms and that right includes the right to own effective, semi-automatic weapons like AR-15's and other, similar platforms that differ only cosmetically from their sporting and hunting brethren.

You can read the entire article HERE.

What are your thoughts on Dick's latest decision?
Feel free to post your comments in the area below.

Riton Optics is a veteran-owned company based in Tucson, AZ.
They make some top quality optics with an awesome "Lifetime Replacement" guarantee and have been taking the Optics industry by storm.

Many folks are now aware that Yeti Coolers made a major Misstep this past week by engaging in a social media "battle" with the NRA.

As gun owners, we all need to stick together and support the National Rifle Association and the companies that support it.

Riton is certainly one of those companies.

See their release below:

April 25, 2018

Riton Optics, a company founded by a U.S. Law Enforcement and Military Veteran, wants their
customer base to know that they fully support the 2nd Amendment and any organizations that
fight to secure that right. A statement from Brady Speth, CEO for Riton Optics:
“Yes, Riton is a company that makes firearm accessories and it would be logical for our
company to support gun rights. However, the more critical understanding is that we have an
unwavering belief in the 2nd Amendment. It goes beyond being a part of our business; it is
woven into the core of who we are as individuals.”

Riton Official Statement:
Riton Optics firmly believes in the right of every American to keep and bear arms and the 2nd Amendment’s protection of that right.
Additionally, we fully support organizations that share those beliefs
and work to secure those core, constitutional rights, including, but
not limited to, the National Rifle Association.
In keeping with this belief, Riton Optics will be donating a portion of every sale from their website to the National Rifle Association at the upcoming Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX, May 4th, 5th, and 6th.
Ace Luciano and Riton Optics support the National Rifle Association and all Organizations that support the 2nd Amendment.

YETI DROPS NRA DUE TO "RECENT EVENTS?!?"

YETI DROPS NRA DUE TO "RECENT EVENTS"

So, after much digging and many calls and messages, I am given the following regarding the Yeti/NRA debacle.

“YETI severed ties with the NRA and is now engaging in damage control after a backlash from many of its customers. In early March, YETI refused to place a previously negotiated order from NRA-ILA, citing ‘recent events’ as the reason – a clear reference to the tragedy in Parkland, Florida. YETI then delivered notice to the NRA Foundation that it was terminating a 7 year agreement and demanded that the NRA remove the YETI name and logo from all NRA digital assets, as well as refrain from using any YETI trademarks in future print material. While YETI is trying to spin the story otherwise, those are the facts. While Yeti can choose to run from the NRA, they can’t run from the facts. Whether this is due to the recent cancellation of their IPO from their NYC owners is a question only they can answer.”

Note:
Numerous attempts made to contact Yeti were directed to their PR person, who would only furnish their previously quoted response.

Now, there is a new response and consequence to Yeti from Fletchers Outdoors in Alabama:

“We at Fletchers Outdoors have pressed Yeti for statements and answers since early Monday morning. In an email Monday addressed to Yeti managers, NRA Foundation, National Shooting Sports Foundation executives, Fletchers buy group executives and local press Andalusia Star News Michele Cox Gerlach and WAAO Blaine Wilson, written by M Anthony King. Yeti, in damage control mode, called M Anthony King ahead of their released statement Monday afternoon. King told them their statement did not explain their actions and lacked substance. The NRA has rebuked the Yeti statement today.
Fletchers Outdoors has asked their buying group to revoke their vendor agreement with Yeti, an estimated $150 million value in some 500 locations in the US and Canada.
We have frozen all orders with Yeti and will reject any shipments in transit. We will replace them with a firearm friendly cooler manufacturer. Our current inventory of Yeti products will be flushed  through the store, by sales method or any other method necessary.
Additionally, and for the record we will continue to sell all legal firearms and ammunition to our customers. We will not destroy any firearms. Furthermore we will not do business with any company,  entity or person that diminishes the 2nd Ammendment rights of the American people.

Best Regards & Merica”

AK

One must ask why companies with such a broad base of hunters and shooters would distance themselves from the NRA, the oldest civil rights organization in the US.

America’s hunters, shooters and gun owners are extremely loyal to their base and to companies that they perceive are “on their side.”
As was the case last year with Under Armour, when companies feel they are “too big to fail” and can do no wrong to their supporters, they are in for a rude awakening.

Chalk this one up to another win for America’s 2nd Amendment supporters.

Riton Optics Announces Calley Carpenter as the Director of Marketing.

Tucson, AZ 2-28-2018

In the face of it's unprecedented growth in the already crowded optics marketplace, Riton Optics has been scouring the industry in search of key personnel to build their team. With a focus on values, outdoors and support for first responders and military personnel, Riton found the perfect fit with their new Director of Marketing addition, Calley Carpenter.

As a young child Calley was introduced to shooting through the NRA youth shooting programs where she shot competitively for several years. Her love for the outdoors extended to hunting, hiking, camping and archery as she grew older. “Some of the greatest memories that I have with my dad are of us hunting together. Those are memories that I will never forget.”
Calley Carpenter is a veteran to the firearms world now working for RITON optics in Tucson, Arizona. RITON Makes some of the best optics at the best prices in the market.
RITON is a new player in the marketplace.

In addition to growing up as an outdoorswoman and an avid 2A supporter, Calley came from a long line of family owned businesses that supported first responder and military personnel through the manufacture of firearms and defense articles. Calley stated that it was important to transition to a business that operates with the highest set of values and support for service personnel because of her unrelenting passion for those who serve.  As the wife to a local police officer, she also knows all too well the joys and pains of being an LE wife. “I am so proud of my husband and those that serve with him. "I am excited to be a part of a team that so strongly believes in supporting law enforcement.”

Beyond a great fit in personality and values, Calley also brings to the team a wide breadth of experience and knowledge. Having worked in the 2A industry as the General Manager and Director of Operations for Abrams Airborne Manufacturing, Inc. and VLTOR Weapon Systems, Calley also held the primary responsibility for marketing for the family of businesses, including Milkor USA, Inc., SkyRider Coffee Shop and Tucson Aeroservice Center. In addition, she has acted as a consultant for other companies in the areas of sales, marketing and event planning. Calley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, as well as her dual Master’s degree in Business Administration and Leadership.

When asked about her new position and what customers can expect to see, Calley responded with the following:

"Riton is already a great organization. From their amazing customer service to their lifetime, “no questions asked” warranty, they are providing people with superior products at a competitive price. Most importantly, they are there for the customer; not just to get the sale but as support after the purchase. Going forward we will just be expanding on this foundation. Our marketing efforts will be focused on EARNING your business and your trust. We want to get to know you and let you get to know the Riton team."

Riton is thrilled to have Calley as a new addition to the team, and they are confident that she will be bringing new tools to enhance the customer experience.
